ACBuy Shipping to Europe: Carriers, Costs & Customs (2026)

You've found your items, approved the QC photos, and now ACBuy is asking which shipping line to choose. There are 8+ options and the price differences are significant. This guide cuts through it.
The Short Answer
For most European buyers ordering clothing and footwear:
- YunExpress is the best all-round option (speed + price + reliability)
- DHL Express if you need it fast and are comfortable paying extra
- Economy lines only if you're patient and ordering under €150 declared value
Carrier Comparison for Europe
YunExpress (Recommended)
Delivery time: 14–21 days to Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy Cost: Medium — usually €15–25 for 1kg parcel Customs handling: YunExpress has a solid track record in Europe. Parcels are often delivered by local postal services for the final mile (DHL Paket in Germany, PostNL in Netherlands, etc.) Best for: Standard fashion orders, 0.5–3kg
YunExpress has become the default for European rep buyers and for good reason. It's roughly half the price of DHL with delivery times only 3–7 days longer.
DHL Express
Delivery time: 7–12 days Cost: High — usually €35–55 for 1kg parcel Customs handling: Very reliable customs clearance, but higher VAT/duty attention from customs Best for: Time-sensitive orders, high-value items you want tracked closely
DHL is the most expensive option but provides the best tracking and reliability. Worth it if you're shipping something expensive and want to minimise uncertainty.
EMS (China Post)
Delivery time: 14–28 days Cost: Medium — often similar to YunExpress Customs handling: Solid but slower clearance in some countries Best for: Countries where YunExpress coverage is weaker (some Eastern European countries)
EMS is the China Post service and has been around the longest. It's reliable but YunExpress has generally overtaken it for Western Europe.
Economy Lines (Yanwen, ePacket, etc.)
Delivery time: 28–60 days Cost: Low — often €8–15 for 1kg Customs handling: Variable — more likely to be cleared informally, but also more delays Best for: Very light items (under 500g), or when you're not in a hurry
Economy lines save money but the reliability is significantly lower. We don't recommend them unless you're ordering something low-cost and low-priority.

Important: The €150 threshold is for customs duty — VAT applies from the first euro. In practice, parcels under €150 often only pay VAT (and sometimes a carrier handling fee of €5–15).
Declared Value and Customs
ACBuy gives you a declared value option when you submit your shipment. Some buyers ask about low declarations — we don't recommend this. Besides being dishonest, if a parcel is stopped by customs and the declared value doesn't match the contents, it can be seized.
For most fashion items costing ¥150–400 (€20–55), the VAT due is under €15. It's simply not worth the risk.
Consolidation: How to Save on Shipping
If you're ordering multiple items, consolidate them into one shipment rather than shipping separately. ACBuy holds items free for 90 days.

Tracking Your Package
Once shipped, you'll receive a tracking number. For YunExpress, use yuntrack.net or enter the number on your local postal service's website once the parcel enters the destination country.
For DHL, the standard DHL tracking link works from day one.
A parcel arriving in Germany typically shows "In customs" for 2–5 days before being cleared. This is normal — don't panic unless it's been more than 2 weeks without movement.
